Eyelash extensions usually last 2–4 weeks. How long exactly depends on your natural lash growth cycle and your daily aftercare – every day a lash sheds naturally along with its extension. To keep the set even and full, I recommend eyelash extension maintenance every 2–3 weeks.

With classic lashes, one extension is attached to one natural lash (1:1) – the result is natural and light. With volume lashes, a fan of 2–4 ultra-fine fibres is made by hand and attached to a single lash, which adds density and fullness. Hybrid, wet look and wispy lashes sit between the two: a textured result between natural and full.

No. The application is painless: each extension is attached to a natural lash, not to the skin. You lie comfortably on your back with your eyes closed, and many clients sleep through the appointment.

An application takes 2–3 hours on average and eyelash extension maintenance 1–2 hours. How long exactly depends on the style you choose and on how dense your natural lashes are: dark volume and wispy sets take the longest, classic lashes the least. Allow an extra fifteen minutes so we can start and finish without rushing.

At Carmiina Beauty a classic set is €60 and a volume set €65–70 (2-3D or 3-4D). A hybrid, wet look or wispy set is €65. Eyelash extension maintenance starts from €50 and removal is €20. Weekend appointments are €10 more. The full price list is on the services page.

Every 2–3 weeks. During maintenance I remove the extensions that have grown out or come loose and fill the gaps, so the set looks even again. The right interval differs from client to client, because it depends on your lash growth cycle and your daily aftercare.

If too few extensions are left, there is nothing to fill and the work starts from scratch – in that case the full application price applies. There is no fixed number of days, because every client is different; if it has been more than three weeks, write or call before booking and we’ll agree on the right service. The application price also applies if your previous set was done by another technician.

For the first 4 hours, avoid steam and the sauna so the adhesive can cure fully – water is fine. After that, cleanse your lashes gently every day with a dedicated lash cleansing foam, brush them every day with a proper lash brush, avoid oil-based products around the eyes, and don’t rub your eyes or pick at your lashes. Good daily aftercare is the simplest way to make a set last longer.

Correctly applied extensions do not damage natural lashes. Damage comes from two things: an extension that is too long or too heavy for the natural lash, or lashes stuck together during application. That is exactly why I isolate every lash individually and choose length and thickness to match your own lash. If your lashes are currently fine or brittle, I’ll suggest starting with classic lashes or taking a short break.

Come without eye make-up and, if possible, without contact lenses, and allow 2–3 hours. Before we start we’ll talk through what you want and choose a style that suits your eye shape. For a first set I recommend a more natural result – density can always be added at a maintenance visit.

Yes. Only steam and the sauna need avoiding, and only for the first 4 hours after the application; water is fine. Chlorinated water, hot steam and long sauna sessions do shorten the wear, so rinse your lashes with clean water afterwards and brush them through once dry. If you swim or use the sauna often, book maintenance every 2 weeks rather than every 3.

You can, but choose oil-free products around the eyes and remove them gently, without rubbing your lashes. I don’t recommend mascara, especially waterproof – taking it off pulls the extensions loose. With a well-made set, mascara is usually unnecessary anyway.

Not while you have an eye infection, irritation of the eye or eyelid, or a recent eye operation – in that case we wait until your eye has fully recovered. If you have a known allergy to cosmetics or adhesives, very sensitive eyes, or any other eye-related health condition, please tell me before booking so we can talk through whether and how the application will work for you.

Never pull extensions off yourself – your own lash comes off with them. I remove them with a dedicated softening product that dissolves the adhesive; it is painless and leaves your lashes intact. Removal is €20. If you simply stop coming for maintenance, the extensions shed gradually as your natural lashes renew.

You can book and change your appointment in the booking system. If your plans change, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance – for appointments cancelled later than that, 50% of the service price applies, as the time cannot be filled at such short notice. Please arrive 5 minutes early so we can start calmly.
